Your new companyHays are working with a leader in the construction industry to recruit an HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. Your new roleAs an HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role within the HR team, providing expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the organisation.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices.Support the onboarding and offboarding process for employees
  • Assist managers with employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans, and advise on managing workplace absence and support organisational policies and practices
  • Promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Guide managers through performance review processes, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting reviews
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and contribute to the development and updating of HR policies and procedure
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate employee records and track HR metrics
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in an HR advisory or generalist role
  • Proven track record with HR projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of Oracle systems would be desirable
  • CIPD part or fully qualified and/or 3rd level qualification in HR or a business-related discipline would be desirable
