Your new companyHays are working with our client based in Dungannon to recruit an HR Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.Your new roleAs an HR Officer, you will assist the Chief People Officer and HRBP in the implementation and management of all HR policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for providing professional HR support and advice to all staff
  • Assist with the development and improvement of HR processes such as staff attendance, performance review, recruitment and selection, and learning and development.
  • Assist in the maintenance of independent accreditations e.g. ISO9001
  • To issue, collate and monitor the internal HR Satisfaction Survey
  • Assist in the drafting/reviewing of JD/PS for recruitment exercises
  • Support with end to end recruitment including staff onboarding and inductions
  • Assist in developing training programmes for new and existing employees
  • To monitor the completion of probationary reviews for new employees
  • Log completed performance appraisals, book training courses for staff and issue evaluation sheets once training has been completed
  • As appropriate, to advise staff on HR/Industrial Relations and employment law and the impact that this has on their area
  • Such other duties as may be necessary from time to time

What you'll need to succeed

  • 12 months experience working in an HR department in a similar role
  • 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English & maths or equivalent
  • Competent in MS Office
  • Working towards or part-qualified CIPD status
  • Can demonstrate evidence of handling staff enquiries e.g. holiday calculations, maternity enquires
  • Is able to organise and prioritise your own workload
  • Can work on your own initiative
  • Can build relationships easily
  • Has experience of working with staff and management on HR Projects
  • Meticulous/pays attention to detail
  • Has monitored staff for recruitment exercises
  • Ability to work overtime if required
