ACCOUNTS MANAGER

As our client continue to expand, SF are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Manager to join a dynamic finance team and make a real difference. This important role requires a foundational understanding of financial management, accurately overseeing financial transactions, ensuring the smooth operation of direct debit systems and keeping track of company payments. The successful candidate must be familiar and confident with using XERO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transaction Management: Accurately classify and record financial transactions using Xero accounting software, ensuring all financial data is correctly entered and maintained.
- Direct Debit Management: Set up and manage direct debit arrangements for our law firm clients, efficiently resolving any related queries or issues.
- Debt Recovery: Actively pursue overdue payments and manage cancelled direct debits, employing strategies to recover outstanding debts while maintaining professional client relationships.
- Payroll: Internal payroll responsibilities for current headcount of 35 employees.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, providing support and information related to financial transactions and direct debits
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Credit Controller, Bookkeeper, or financial management role.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and familiarity with other financial systems.
- Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining positive relationships with clients and other colleagues.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the legal sector or experience working with law firms would be advantageous.
Working Hours and Salary:
- The first two weeks have the working hours of 09:00 - 18:00 Monday to Thursday, and 09:00 - 16:00 on Fridays.
- After your first two weeks you can begin Flexi-time, starting anytime between.
- 8 hours Monday to Thursday, and 6 hours on Fridays with a choice of a 30 minute or one hour lunch.
