Our multi-award-winning client is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual with a wide skill set and the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge. You will join their Engineering Services team as an Operations Engineer within the Network Operations Centre (NOC).
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a NOC Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of cloud communication platforms. Youll be required to strictly follow standard operating procedures and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Engineering Services Support, Operations teams, Project Managers, third-party carriers, strategic partners, and technology vendors.
Your main duties will include:
- Real-time monitoring of cloud communication platforms.
- Acknowledging, reviewing, and resolving alerts through incident and change management processes.
- Capacity monitoring and reviewing historical logs (Windows, Linux, and proprietary logs).
- Updating and improving platform monitoring procedures.
- Developing processes and documentation.
- Shift work, including overnight, on a rota basis.
- A strong educational background (2:1 or above degree, BBB or above at A levels)..
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- High level of IT and computer literacy.
- Experience working in a NOC environment.
- Proficiency with Windows servers and SQL Server.
- Strong diagnostic abilities for server and network-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to produce incident reports.
- A hardworking, ambitious, and friendly attitude.
