We are delighted to be working in partnership with a government organisation in search of a diligent and capable senior administrator. As a senior administrator within the data protection team you will process requests from the community pertaining to the freedom of information act.

Responsibilities:

Work in a small data protection team, supporting each other to achieve common goals.
Ensure strict compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, GDPR, and other relevant data privacy regulations.
Manage large data sets across multiple platforms, compiling relevant information for customers while maintaining data integrity.
Policy Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive data protection policies and procedures.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of data processing activities, ensuring proper documentation is in place.
Risk Management: Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Training & Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about data protection among staff.

Criteria

Previous experience in a senior administration role.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act or GDPR legislation.
Data Privacy Expertise: Experience working in data privacy, compliance, or handling sensitive information is advantageous.
Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills with evidence of working on various platforms and systems.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Organisational Skills: Highly organised, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
