About the Role
We are embarking on a major transformation programme aimed at enhancing the quality, efficiency, and user experience of our systems, while streamlining policies and procedures across the organisation. We are seeking a Solution Architect to play a key role in driving this change. As part of our Finance > IT team, you will help shape the current and future architecture, ensuring alignment with our organisational principles and standards.
Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will:
- Design secure, scalable, and efficient solutions that align with our organisational goals.
- Create detailed architecture documentation, including technical specifications and diagrams.
- Engage throughout the project lifecycle-contributing to solutions architecture, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and technology change management.
- Promote data integration and interoperability between SaaS cloud solutions.
- Adhere to architectural governance, promoting standardised solutions to simplify our IT landscape.
- Ensure all solutions meet industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with project teams to develop accurate implementation timescales and technical Statements of Work.
- Collaborate with our IT team to support successful project delivery and, where necessary, participate hands-on in the implementation of new technology.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to identify potential innovations that align with organisational goals.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, as well as the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft Stack
- Proven experience in designing and implementing both SaaS and on-premise solutions, with a focus on data integration and API management.
- Demonstrable experience in solution architecture or technical design roles, with knowledge of architectural frameworks and best practices.
- Understanding of service transition processes and system architecture principles such as scalability, resilience, and security.
- Knowledge of transformation and migration processes, IT security, and business analysis.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Business and commercial awareness, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
