AWS Solutions Expert - Belfast Hybrid - 80-90K

Belfast office, 2 days in office per week

Lorien's client, a leading provider of Cloud, Infrastructure and a variety of other transformational services/solutions to a range of clients and sectors, is looking for an AWS Solutions Expert to join their function, contribute across the full span of projects, and architect AWS applications which fulfil and exceed client needs.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • End-to-End Project Contribution: Oversee projects from requirements gathering and presales phases through to delivery, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction throughout.
  • Architecting AWS Solutions: Design and build cloud-based infrastructure and applications using AWS, adhering to both customer requirements and industry best practices.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the key point of contact for clients, managing everything from requirements to quoting and project tracking.
  • Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with the engineering team during build stages, ensuring best DevOps practices are implemented correctly.
  • Technical Support: Serve as an escalation point for Cloud Engineers during project builds, providing guidance and resolving issues.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend cloud/industry events, as well as client meetings, to stay updated on the latest trends and strengthen client relationships.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior staff, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

What They're Looking For:

  • Proven background in AWS solutions architecture.
  • AWS Associate-level certification/s.

And knowledge of/strong skills across:

  • DevOps: Previous workings in DevOps settings alongside Linux, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • IaC: Hands-on skills with CloudFormation/Terraform for managing infrastructure-as-code.
  • Serverless Applications: Familiarity with serverless architectures, including event-driven applications and microservices.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts such as IP ranges, subnetting, routing, and VPNs.
