Your New Role

As a Graduate / Junior Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our operations. You will be involved in product design, improving manufacturing processes, and production planning. Working closely with a team of engineers, you will share responsibility for manufacturing output and contribute to design and development. This role will challenge you to solve advanced engineering problems and wear many hats within the business.

What You Will Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you will need a degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, with key modules in Technical Drawing, Design and CADD, Pneumatics and Control, Manufacturing Processes, Project and Quality Management, and Lean and 6 Sigma Manufacturing. Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (SolidWorks, BIM, AutoCAD) and engineering software (ANSYS, CES EduPack, Process Book) are essential. You should have experience of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing techniques, cost and waste reduction, quality control, and new production introduction. Strong technical reporting, analysis, problem-solving skills, and a high level of IT literacy are also required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

What You Will Get in Return

In return, you will receive a competitive annual salary with additional overtime pay as authorised. You will work 39 hours per week, with breaks included, and have the opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment. The company offers a six-month probationary period, extendable up to twelve months, with the potential for further training and development. You will also be reimbursed for proper and reasonable business expenses, ensuring you are supported in your role.
