A leading Midlands based automotive OEM is seeking a freelance Software Engineer for a crucial project.
The role involves supporting the design, development, and validation of control software, requiring collaboration with project teams for model-based software design.
Candidates should have experience in delivering vehicle quality management and safety software, as well as developing model-based vehicle control software architecture.
The position also includes supporting EV component design and interfacing, with responsibilities in various testing environments like MIL, HIL, and on test vehicles.
The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates are expected to have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Get to support project deliverables across customer, engineering and auxiliary features and consult with project teams for model based software design, development, implementation and validation, according to agreed process and industry best practices.

You will deliver vehicle quality management / safety software and develop model-based vehicle control software architecture / plant model within MIL, SIL & HIL environments.

Also support EV component design, development and interfacing within MIL, HIL and on test vehicles.

You will attend project meetings along with testing and troubleshooting activities on and off site as per your project requirements.
