About Us

Our client, is a market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK. We are seeking a Field Support Stores Person to travel to client stores throughout UK, providing stores cover and support.

A background gained in busy engineering and manufacturing, or corporate environments would be beneficial, but is not as essential as the attitude to deliver, develop and succeed.

About the role:

  • Receive deliveries and put stock away in pre-determined storage locations
  • Issue stock products to engineers
  • Assist customers in the selection of goods, advising of alternatives where required that reduce overall cost
  • Initiate and conclude all customer / vendor returns in approved manners
  • Conduct rotational stock checks as required
  • Conduct progressing and associated duties as required for site
  • Identify cost saving measures that will benefit the customer
  • Drive continuous improvements to the engineering stores
  • Maintain the store standards to Opex requirements
  • Assist with any specific project work or implementation as resource requires
  • Train and develop store people as required for the needs of the business
  • Maintain the required H&S site requirements including reporting near misses as per company procedure
  • Complete a handover document for the stores person return
  • Carry out any other reasonable management request to assist the business or client

About you:

  • Strong communication, organisational & customer service skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Forklift Truck License is desirable but not essential
  • Full Driving License
  • Fully Flexible as will be required to travel to Client Stores sites across the North West at short notice - Regular overnight stays required.
  • SAP experience (desirable, but not essential).
  • A positive 'can do' attitude & proactive approach
