Your new companyHays are delighted to represent a leading multinational company, currently seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team in Belfast. This organisation is an employer of choice in Northern Ireland and the role is a fantastic opportunity to move inhouse and work on truly interesting projects.Your new roleYou will provide legal support and advice on a range of commercial matters, focusing on digital and technology-related projects. Duties include:

* Provide legal advice and support on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to digital and technology services.* Advise on regulatory and compliance issues affecting digital and technology projects.* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, IT professionals, and business leaders, to ensure legal risks are identified and managed effectively.* Support the development and implementation of digital strategies and initiatives.* Handle disputes and litigation related to commercial and digital matters.* Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting digital and technology sectors.* Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on legal and compliance issues for the team.What you'll need to succeedTo be a successful candidate, you will be qualified in Northern Ireland or England and Wales as a solicitor or barrister and have practical experience, alongside:* Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial law, ideally with a focus on digital and technology sectors.* Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Proficiency in using legal research tools and technologyWhat you'll get in returnThis is a fantastic opportunity to move into an exciting inhouse role with an employer of choice in Northern Ireland.
