Randstad have an opportunity available for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to work alongside the exsiting team at Belfast Metropolitan College

The post holder will provide officer support to the Organisational Quality Assurance Coordinator to implement an annual quality assurance calendar, robust quality assurance systems and a programme of desktop audits to ensure the implementation of systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Hold a qualification at Level 5 or above
  • At least two year's experience of administering a wide range of simultaneous projects, creating systems and workflows
  • Recent experience of working with awarding bodies and an understanding of assessment and internal quality assurance processes at Level 2 and above
  • Experience of supporting internal curriculum reviews, monitoring activities and preparing reports within an education or training setting
  • Experience in research and evaluation methodologies, analysing data, producing reports and communicating findings
  • Experience in the use of ICT systems, for example Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Databases and Internet applications
  • Candidates will need to undergo enhanced vetting including an Access NI check

Responsibilities

  • To implement a calendar of desk top audits to ensure quality standards are being achieved.
  • To identify areas or themes for improvement and develop appropriate reports.
  • To monitor external awarding body websites (weekly).
  • To communicate changes to criteria, to update relevant templates and to communicate these changes to criteria.
  • To review, implement and monitor a standard system for internal verification/monitoring and standards maintenance across the college.
  • To maintain arrangements for the validation and re-validation of learning programmes across the college and maintain effective relationships with all awarding and validating bodies.
  • To assist the Organisational Quality Assurance Coordinator role in preparing the College for independent audits and inspections
  • Ensuring that each area has been quality assured against relevant criteria.
  • To facilitate and provide administrative support for all College inspections: preparation of agendas, collation and review of college documents and curriculum files, general administration, and hospitality.
  • To support the Organisational Quality Assurance Coordinator's role in the development, consultation and evaluation of the annual Whole College Quality Improvement Plan and collation and auditing of other annual statutory authority and awarding body returns.
