About the Role:

We are currently looking for a Lift Service Engineer to join our team covering the London and M25 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and NVQ Level 3 qualified engineer to carry out the service and repair of lifts across a range of commercial and residential properties.

As a Lift Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring lifts are maintained to the highest standards, meeting both regulatory requirements and customer expectations. You will work independently, manage your own workload, and be the primary point of contact for clients in your assigned area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lift Servicing & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections of lifts and escalators to ensure smooth and safe operation.
  • Repairs & Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of lift systems, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all lifts meet legal requirements and adhere to health and safety regulations. Complete relevant paperwork and documentation accurately.
  • Customer Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing high-quality customer service. Address any concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • On-Call & Overtime: Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and be available for overtime as required to meet customer needs.
  • Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate service records and ensure timely reporting of completed work, including any repairs or recommendations for future service needs.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Proven Experience in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of lifts. Experience with both hydraulic and traction systems is advantageous.
  • Fault Diagnosis & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair lift systems to a high standard.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant health, safety, and lift industry regulations.
  • Customer-Focused: Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Full UK Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is required as the role involves travel within the London and M25 area.
