In your new role as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be joining a strong, established team of Maintenance engineers, and will Support the day-to-day manufacturing process in the most efficient manner, whilst working within a team structure

What are we looking for:

  • Time served Mechanical Engineer
  • Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • City & Guilds qualification, Minimum level 2 or equivalent
  • Excellent fitting skills, welding and fabrication skills
  • Experience of planned maintenance
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
  • Well organised, self-motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to problem solving

Your Duties as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Performing reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site
  • Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering/production-based issues
  • Troubleshooting problems and suggesting improvements to prevent reoccurrence
  • Communicating with Production Managers / Team Leaders on progress of issues
  • Completing scheduled maintenance
  • Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing any necessary repairs, and reporting status within the maintenance recording system.

Working hours

7.30am-4pm, with an early dart on a Friday!!

Occasional overtime opportunities

Salary -31k
