Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical skill set to join our clients fast-paced engineering team. In this role, as the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for conducting Electrical preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of plant equipment and automated systems.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be an integral part of our engineering department, working to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our production facilities.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical equipment, including motors, drives, control panels, and automated systems
  • Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and processes
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Time-served electrical maintenance experience or an electrical engineering apprenticeship
  • Formal qualifications in electrical engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, industrial environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work
