Rate: 40.00ph + Overtime (Inside IR35)
Shifts: Mon-Fri Days/Nights

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support one of our key manufacturing clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring machinery uptime, carrying out preventive maintenance, and responding to breakdowns efficiently. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional looking for contract work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of production machinery.
Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems, PLCs, motors, inverters, and control panels.
Work closely with mechanical engineers and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Document maintenance work and update relevant records.

Key Skills & Experience:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Proven experience in electrical maintenance within manufacturing, FMCG, food, or industrial sectors.
Knowledge of PLC fault-finding
Experience with electrical circuits, motors, control panels, and safety circuits.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a high-pressure environment.
Understanding of health & safety procedures and compliance.

Desirable:

17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Experience in automated production environments.
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
