Your New Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee the design and implementation of our production processes. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, quality, and product compliance. Your key tasks will include managing customer design changes, designing new systems and processes, working closely with multiple departments to deliver CI projects on time and within budget, analysing and reporting on production processes, supporting the transition of new tools to production, liaising with toolmakers, reviewing and calculating costs, improving manufacturing efficiency, evaluating quality control processes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations, overseeing the work of technicians and shop-floor personnel, and establishing effective work sequences.

What You Will Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need five or more years of experience in heavy engineering. You should be proficient in using SolidWorks/DraftSight or AutoCAD and experienced at reading technical drawings. Essential skills include strong interpersonal skills, the ability to positively challenge people, the ability to interpret customer specifications and regulatory requirements, and the ability to hold project meetings and technical reviews with a wide audience at all levels. Desirable qualifications include project management qualifications, knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design, familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques, experience in polymer processing, and experience with NPI.
