Description

Reporting to the relevant Team Leader/Team Lead Support Operator the Material Handler position presents a diverse and challenging role in a busy engineering environment. The primary remit of the role will encompass the following duties:

The Material Handler - Campsie will be responsible for areas including, but not limited to:

  • Monitoring live production schedules with the ability to navigate through IFS, arranging the material from stores, completing inspection, takeoff and reporting any damages or shortages to stores and the relevant engineer.
  • Identifying non-conformances, completing NCR, quarantine part, reporting through quality and the relevant engineer, ensuring parts are re-ordered and delivered promptly.
  • Ensuring materials are stored correctly in an organised manner within their specified location and that any materials leaving an area are booked out to the correct project.
  • Pursuing outstanding material whilst keeping the relevant TL/TLS updated.
  • Ensuring orderly distribution with the timely fulfilment and delivery of materials between stores and production teams.
  • Ensuring satisfactory safety and security standards are maintained, working to health and safety requirements, and attending training workshops as required.

Profile

The Material Handler - Campsie will be able to demonstrate competencies including, but not limited to:

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Systems, with extensive knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience within an industrial material handling role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of initiative, be positive, organised and enthusiastic.
  • A commitment to customer service and quality assurance.
  • A commitment to the process of continuous review and improvement.
  • An awareness of workshop equipment, methods and procedures.
  • Understand health and safety requirements, risk assessments, and COSHH regulations

Job Offer

The successful Material Handler - Campsie will receive:

  • Salary commencing at £11.50 p/h - and rising to £11.94 after 12 weeks
