About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, procurement, and project management of mechanical systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency across multiple projects, including new builds and retrofit installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design, specification, and project delivery of mechanical installations.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Conduct site inspections, fault-finding, and compliance checks.
  • Act as a technical advisor, liaising with stakeholders, residents, and contractors.
  • Lead on procurement, contract management, and cost control.
  • Stay up to date with building regulations, sustainability standards, and best practices.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide guidance on technical issues.
  • Review tenders, specifications, and contractor performance.

What You'll Need:

? Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience).

? Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) preferred.

? Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installations, heating systems, and low-carbon solutions.

? Experience managing medium to large-scale projects.

? Ability to write technical reports and oversee contract administration.

? Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

? Familiarity with statutory regulations, codes of practice, and British Standards.

? Enhanced DBS clearance may be required.
