Mechanical Project Engineer London

Our client is an established and respected mechanical and electrical subcontractor working across London and the Southeast. They service Tier 1 & 2 main contracting clients across a variety of sectors including commercial, public sector, energy, pharmaceutical and data centres. Company turnover stands at £85m with ambitious growth plans to exceed £150m in the next few years, they already have £100m secured for 2025 & 2026 and have a very strong cash position to support this growth.

Due to this continued growth our client is now seeking an Mechanical Project Engineer to take ownership of the Mechanical Package on this Commercial fit out scheme for a Tier 1 contractor ensuring concise and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Lead mechanical design, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery.

Supervise mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning at the site, ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Implement quality control measures and ensure mechanical systems meet regulatory and industry standards.

Identify potential project risks, resolve technical challenges, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

Oversee the testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality.

Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.

Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and ensure proper documentation of design changes and approvals.

Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Requirements

Successful Candidate will have experience on Projects of a large scale

Successful Candidates will have a demonstrated history of projects not only in the Residential Sector
