Location: Bristol and Hinkley Point C (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Salary: £55-65k depending upon experience

iO Associates are seeking for a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer - Review & Acceptance to work with a consulting firm with broad expertise in asset management, construction, and engineering. They create creative and sustainable solutions for the built environment and significant infrastructure in close collaboration with their clients.

Buildings and Development; Defence, Security, and Aerospace; Energy; Logistics and Transportation; Nuclear; Manufacturing and Technology; Rail; Waste and Utilities are the seven main industries in which they assist their clients.

Required:

  • Degree, or its equivalent, in an engineering field that is applicable.
  • Experience in the nuclear business utilising technical expertise spanning multiple disciplines.
  • Familiarity with the building and installation sectors.
  • Familiarity with health and safety laws, such as those pertaining to CDM and nuclear site licence requirements.
  • Knowledge of welding engineering through experience.

Responsibilities:

  • The Joint Design Office, which oversees the engineering configuration of the plant and structures as they are built by the Contractor, functions effectively as the site engineering team.
  • Addressing general enquiries, non-conformances, change requests, and exemption requests from the on-site NSSS Contractor, with assistance from the site experts or responsible designer as needed.
  • Assure that the Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation's criteria are fulfilled by providing sufficient oversight.
  • Raise issues with design choices to ensure that engineering and design complement the project plan.
