Are you a Lead Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer / Supervisor / Manager from a food Manufacturing background looking for the next exciting step in your career with an industry leading company who offer continued progression as they continue to expand?

Excellent opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader from a food manufacturing background to join a well-established, family run and highly successful company with the chance to enjoy excellent working conditions whilst working on state of the art equipment.

This bespoke company specialises in the food sector and, due to their continued success, they are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join their successful & passionate team in a Monday-Friday days based role.

In this role you will take ownership and accountability for the installation, service & planned/reactive maintenance on a range of equipment withing the food manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment, as well as implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime. You will also be involved in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a small team whilst working on brand new, state of the art equipment, in a multi skilled role where you will have the opportunity to pass on your skills and knowledge whilst developing & growing the maintenance team long term. The Role:

  • Coordination of planned & reactive maintenance on food manufacturing equipment
  • Maintaining all machinery & equipment (inc. filling machines, spiral freezer and ovens)
  • Lead all engineering activity required for continuous improvement & technical audits
  • Support the achievement of productivity, efficiency & expenditure targets
  • Deliver projects in line with health and safety legislation requirements



The Person:

  • Recognized Mechanical & Electrical Engineering qualifications
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment with experience leading / managing small team
  • Familiar with legislative requirements, including risk management and risk assessments
  • Excellent project management and health & safety knowledge, NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is ideal.
  • Practical application of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience of PPM strategy, improvement techniques and tools
  • Good communicator to all levels of the site
