Fantastic opportunity to work for an established FM Service Provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to work on an iconic commercial blue chip building in Glasgow.The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a strong background in HV, switching and shutdowns. This role will suit someone who is looking for a role in facilities management focussed on the technical aspects of contract delivery. In return the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £70,000 with car allowance, further training and career progression.
Key duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical leadership and ensure that all technical service commitments are met.
- Responsible for HV/LV activities ensuring full compliance with adhering to HV/LV rules.
- Responsible for ensuring that Statutory & Code compliance of sites is adhered to by the
- local management team and supported by specialist when required,
- Ensure that Risk Management is being delivered across all contracts in a consistent manner.
- Ensure areas of team development are recognised and action plan in place,
- High Voltage authorising engineer
- Confined Space authorising engineer
- Provide technical support to the site teams
- Ensure staffing structures and competencies across the site
- HV/APs present always where required.
- Running LVAP and LVHV AP internal training program.
- Investigate and assist with RCAs on major Operational incidents.
- Attend operational meetings as required.
- Actively promote management systems and processes that have been developed for
- Attend regular meetings with site management to discuss any local issues or concerns.
- Communicate any contractual concerns with senior management to ensure resolution.
- Assist with contract bidding and mobilisation of new contracts.
- Design, develop and implement business leading concepts across the entire company
- Promote and maintain the core values of the company
Hours of work
Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm
Requirements
- HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field (Highly desirable)
- Professional Engineer licence (MIET, CIBSE, Highly desirable etc)
- A strong technical background (HV,LV, UPS, HVAC)
- HVAP - Current (Essential)
- Full understanding of BREEAM and LEED accreditation preferred
- Must be proficient in SFG20 and SFG30
- Up to date knowledge of business-critical services i.e. UPS and MGPS etc.
- Full understanding of Statutory Compliance.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
