Part-Time and Full-Time Occupational Therapists

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (pro rata for part-time)

Locations: South Kensington (part time) & Marylebone (full time)

Hours:
  • Part-time: 2 days per week (Bands 6 & 7)
  • Full-time: 40 hours per week (Bands 6 & 7)
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • HCPC registration
  • Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
  • IT literacy for clinical and administrative tasks
  • Strong understanding of risk management, health and safety, and child protection practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Overview: Both roles involve working closely with children who have SEN/SpLD, delivering occupational therapy in a school setting. The therapists will be responsible for preparing, delivering, and evaluating therapeutic and educational support programmes, setting goals as part of each pupils Individual Education Plan (IEP), and collaborating with parents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intervention, therapy, and pupil learning support
  • Setting and assessing targets for integration into the curriculum
  • Recording and reporting on pupil progress for annual reviews
  • Participating in appraisals and maintaining accurate intervention records
  • Contributing to staff meetings, whole-school events, and providing cover when needed
  • Safeguarding support on school premises and during external activities
  • Supervising students and therapy assistants as required
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working within a school setting
  • Ability to implement behaviour support strategies and develop care plans
  • Strong clinical judgement in handling complex cases
Working Conditions & Benefits:
  • Part-time role: 2 days per week (16 hours), 37 weeks per year (term time only)
  • Full-time role: 40 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (term time only)
