New Vacancy! Assembly and Welding Technician needed in Kidderminster!

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components based on drawings and specifications. This will involve performing basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions, using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces, and operating welding equipment to join metal parts together using various techniques (e.g., MIG & TIG). The role requires a flexible attitude to work, along with the ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities:
Assemble and fabricate metal components according to drawings and specifications.
Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions.
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces.
Operate welding equipment to join metal parts together using various techniques (e.g., MIG & TIG).
Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet the required specifications.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in assembly and welding or similar roles. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, including the ability to weld various types of metals, and familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in metal fabrication. Additionally, the candidate should possess basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and make adjustments as needed, and good understanding of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.

The work is Monday to Friday, 39 hours per weeks and depending upon experience the pay is from £15-£17/hour. This will be on a temporary to permanent basis after successful interview, weld test and trial period.
