Your new companyHays are working with a non-departmental public body to recruit for a temporary Programme Officer (Community Partnership) to be responsible for the provision of development, support and guidance to company funded Community Partner organisations that deliver support and services.

Your new role

  • Work with community partners, stakeholders, and the voluntary sector to develop support services
  • Assist partner organisations in preparing, implementing, and monitoring strategic and operational plans.
  • Develop and engage in outcome-focused monitoring and evaluation systems to analyse the impact of support on health and wellbeing.
  • Supervise staff, allocate work, and monitor performance.
  • Prepare guidance notes and provide advice on managing grants.
  • Update policies and procedures related to grant funding.
  • Provide formal reports on outcomes achieved through development work.
  • Identify training needs and assist in building capacity for quality services.
  • Attend relevant committee and working group meetings.
  • Ensure proper record keeping and database updates.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring business plan targets and key performance indicators.
  • Represent the organisation at public events and provide advice to senior management.
  • Prepare reports, attend meetings, and represent the organisation in various activities.
  • Be responsive and solution-focused to optimise project and program delivery.
  • Uphold the organisation's reputation in external communications.
  • Manage recruitment processes and supervision arrangements.
  • Provide supervision and specialist training to staff.
  • Lead and support team members, ensuring effective communication and smooth operations.
  • Promote a culture of effective teamwork, continuous improvement, and innovation.

What you'll need to succeedEssential Criteria

  • Minimum 3 years' experience of programme or project experience working within the community and voluntary sector.
  • Practical experience of developing positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the community and voluntary sector.
  • Experience in staff management and/or co-ordinating team activities.
  • Practical experience developing Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks and monitoring progress against key outcomes.
  • Experience of analysing complex financial and non-financial information and producing recommendations to management.
  • A current UK Driving License with access to a car.

Desirable criteria Knowledge and understanding of working with government funded programmes.What you'll get in return
