Design Engineer Permanent Full-Time Salary - NegotiableLocation - In office, KilkennyWe're excited to be supporting one of Ireland's largest designers and manufacturers of beautiful bathroom solutions. With over three decades of experience, they truly are experts in their field and take great pride in their work, ensuring they maintain the highest standards of quality and service, for which they have been awarded the ISO 9001 quality assurance standard.With healthy growth and an increase in the demand for their services, they're now looking for a motivated Design Engineer who is competent in using SolidWorks and has professional experience working within a manufacturing environment.Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Prepare and issue SolidWorks designs to the production dept. including detailed technical drawings and instructions for the manufacture of products
  • Liaise with the estimation department on the handover of projects
  • Support clients on technical queries or design of projects and approvals
  • Prepare project material orders and issue them to the supply chain dept
  • Manage and prioritise own projects
  • Support production on technical queries
  • Liaise with the production supervisor on any specific project manufacturing details
  • Keep accurate reporting of projects, including the track of materials and labour usage efficiencies
  • Prepare and issue delivery or dispatch notes for projects
  • Liaise with accounts dept. on invoicing of projects
  • Attend weekly production meetings

Experiences required

  • Must have professional SolidWorks experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in design within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organisational skills and attention for detail
