Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced and qualified NDT Inspectors to undertake 2nd party inspections for our client. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a long-term contract within a critical sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of materials and structures, particularly within the context of nuclear power station construction and operation. This is an essential role requiring detailed attention to inspection protocols, standards, and safety.
The positions are open for candidates ideally located in the South West, though candidates from other regions may also apply. The role is outside of IR35, offering flexibility in contracting arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 2nd party Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections in line with the clients requirements and industry standards.
- Perform Radiographic Testing (RAD) and Dye Penetrant Inspections (DPI) as per established procedures and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during inspections.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Report any defects or concerns to relevant stakeholders, ensuring swift resolution.
- Liaise with the client and other team members to ensure smooth execution of inspection activities.
- Travel to various locations within the South West or further afield, as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- CSWIP (3.2 preferred, will accept 3.1) certification
- Radiographic Testing (RAD) certification.
- Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) certification.
- Significant experience in 2nd party inspections, ideally in the nuclear or similar high-regulation industries.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, codes, and standards related to NDT.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to work, with the ability to travel to different inspection sites.
