Following a recent restructure, the business is now seeking an experienced Workshop / Manufacturing Manager (reporting into the Head of Operations) to take ownership of all aspects of the shop floor manufacturing process.


Role & Responsibilities:

* Take complete ownership for the efficient running of a medium volume, fabrication and build manufacturing environment.
* Responsible for the delivery of fabrication projects, task allocation and people management of the manufacturing & assembly shop floor.
* Oversee the scheduling of work, drawing interpretation, training & guidance and presentation of products and services in line with company policies, procedures and work practices.
* Develop succession planning for key roles and individuals, identifying areas of long term personal development within the teams.
* Provide a positive role model in terms of leading and motivating others, whilst actively promoting Continuous Improvement activities.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Experienced Workshop / Manufacturing Manager with a well-rounded skill set
* A machine shop, fabrication, welding, assembly and paint spray background is highly beneficial.
* Strong Production planning and cost control are essential
* A proven manager and leader with the ability to lead and develop an experienced workforce
