Job Title: M&E Project Manager
Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days WFH or on-site depending on project needs)
Contract Length: Until March 2025 (with potential extension)
Day Rate: £350 per day (Inside IR35)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Project Manager to join our team at a prominent local authority in London. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across a range of council-led projects. The position offers hybrid working, with a flexible mix of home, office, and site-based work depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage M&E elements for various local authority projects, from public infrastructure to housing and building services, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with council standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to develop and approve M&E designs that comply with regulatory and local authority guidelines.
Conduct regular site visits to oversee the installation and maintenance of M&E systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for M&E issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with council teams, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure M&E systems are fully integrated within the broader project framework.
Manage project budgets related to M&E systems and provide regular progress reports to council leadership.
Ensure all M&E installations meet relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as local authority requirements.

Key Requirements:

HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services with significant relevant experience. Alternatively, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field with some experience.
Proven experience managing M&E projects, preferably within the public sector or for local authorities.
Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, installation, and UK regulations, including building codes and health and safety standards.
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Flexibility to work both remotely and on-site, with travel to various project locations across London as required.
