My client has been successfully working in the remediation sector for 30+ years now and are an employee owned organisation. They specialise in utilising the most up to date remediation processes and strategies along with enabling works and on-site waste management.

For this opportunity you will be predominantly working on projects in and around London and the South East.

Working with a diverse range of both public and private clients, this contractor is looking to recruit a technically biased Project Manager to strengthen their team.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and manage remediation schemes thatcan include aspects of demolition and enabling works as part of an industry leading team.

You will be giventhe opportunity to use your technical skills, as you respond to Clients requirements,taking pride in the resultsthat you deliver on site. This fantastic opportunity will involve design and management of multiple projects, procurement and management of subcontractors, production of technical geo-environmental reports, working with the bid team to assess scope and costs, developing and enhancing key relationships.

As far as qualifications and experience are concerned you will need the following:

  • Degree level qualified in an appropriate discipline Earth or Environmental Sciences, or a related field, ideally with a relevant MSc degree.
  • 5+ years experience in contaminated land remediation and or geo-environmental consultancy, particularly in the construction/civil engineering environment.
  • Proven ability to produce high-standard written reports and present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and self-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and a full UK/EC driving licence
  • Cost forecasting and project Programming
  • Membership in a relevant Professional Institute is preferred and working toward or having attend chartership.
  • Knowledge in the preparation of specifications and industry standard forms of contract ICC/NEC/JCT)

In order to secure the right candidates this opportunity there is a base salary of between £60-65k with room for negotiation, a profit share bonus scheme, company pension, hybrid working arrangement and an employee healthcare scheme.

It is anticipated that you will be able to work from home for 3 days per week with site/office visits on the other 2 days- this will obviously vary depending on work priorities.

Candidates will probably have either a geo-environmental consultancy background or already be working as a Technical Project Manager.
