Estates Assistant

Position: Estates Assistant
Hours: 40 hours per week (rotating shifts)
Location: Various school sites in and around Worcester

Our client is seeking a dedicated Estates Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of their vibrant school environment . In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, upkeep, and functionality of the facilities and play a key 'hands on' role within the Estates team.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Set up for school events, such as assemblies, concerts, and exams.
  • Deliver parcels and post to staff, maintaining an organized post room.
  • Manage car parking during school events.
  • Securely open and close school premises according to protocols.
  • Assist with emergency evacuation plans and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise contractors and visitors on-site.
  • Report defects and hazards for maintenance planning.
  • Collaborate with the Estates team across various tasks as needed.

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Capability to perform manual work.
  • A clean driving license is a bonus.

Working Conditions:

  • Shifts based on a rota system, including weekdays and occasional weekends.
  • Required to participate in an on-call rota approximately every 6 weeks.

Salary on offer is £24k plus 25 days hols + bank holidays and additional discretionary days plus additional benefits too including excellent pension scheme.
