With a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement in health and safety as part of a leading chemicals production facility a Shift Process Operator is urgently required to oversee the production process of the chemical plant facility by monitoring equipment and ensuring the quality, efficiency and safety of the manufacturing plant.

You must be available for shift work this would include days, nights and long hours.

It would therefore be easier to have your own transportation

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring condition of process

Data logging and archiving

Stock management of sufficient resources to deliver planned activity

Working closely with the Lab Department

Supervision of goods in and out, including loading unloading of road tankers and using forklift trucks.

Previous chemical process experience or similar an advantage

Attention to detail

Good working knowledge of MS office applications

Ensure that any problems are reported to the relevant manager/department immediately

Ensure that personal protective clothing is worn at all times.

Positively represent the company to our customers and suppliers

Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations.

Ensure compliance with our ISO standards.

Fully participate in the company's performance management and development programmes.

Maximise own ability to produce quality work, on time, and to brief, utilising best skills and available technology.

Work in accordance with the Company's Human Resources policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

Hours: As this is a 24/7 site you are required to work on a 4 On, 4 Off shift pattern which will include shifts covering nights and weekends and bank holidays

Benefits: life assurance scheme (at 3x annual salary), private medical insurance, auto-enrolled pension, long service payment and additional holidays after 5 years service and cycle to work scheme open twice a year.

Salary + London Weighting Allowance (the base would therefore be closer to 40k)
