JOB- Quality & Compliance Engineer / Quality Manager

LOCATION- Hertfordshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £42,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector and they are looking to take on an experienced Quality Engineer / Compliance Engineer who is keen to work in, or move into a Quality Manager role and work with their products, on a permanent basis, in the Hertfordshire area.

The Quality & Compliance Engineer / Quality Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualified in Engineering ideally (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) OR be qualified by experience
  • Have experience in a similar Quality, Compliance, Certification, Reliability or similar role
  • Industry experience within Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Previous experience working with industrial electrical products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Have had exposure to various governing bodies and regulations
  • Be capable of leading compliance and reliability activities
  • Previous experience with an ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949 or similar
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Be keen to develop with the company long term
The Quality & Compliance Engineer / Quality Manager role will involve:

  • Assessing electrical product compliance and reliability for the relevant regulations and governing bodies
  • Working with the Design and Manufacturing team to ensure the products are in line with standards
  • Leading compliance and regulatory activities to improve product and process reliability
  • Working with other teams to meet CE regulations
  • Assisting in the auditing process for the facility
  • Ensuring that components are manufactured with environmental standards in mind
