Job Type: Permanent / Full Time
Prepare sales backup information for sales invoices based on analysis of job costs, working closely with the operations delivery team.
Deal with sales backup queries from clients in conjunction with the finance department.
Produce detailed monthly work in progress estimates of accrued revenue and cost liabilities, working closely with both the site teams and the finance department.
Produce account measurements for POAs and Final Accounts based on measurement from the three disciplines of the National Schedule of Rates. Building Works; Mechanical Services & Electrical Services.
Compile and submit Monthly Valuations to the Client on a strict deadline
Process daywork applications for payment.
Provide quotations, estimates & budget costs for reactive works and projects as required for submission to the Client
Produce accurate measurements and detailed target costs for Target Cost jobs.
Work within an open book arrangement providing backup and reporting to Client representatives.
Measure project quantities from drawings & specification.
Prepare and submit Variations / Compensation Events as and when required.
Ensure timely completion of the monthly contract WIP report, identify problem areas and trends, report on any monthly movements and substantiate gains / deficits on each activity code.
Regularly review contract cost ledger, identify and amend any ambiguities with regards to invoices and activity coding.
Establish and report on forecast final costs and forecast final recovery for each project under your commercial control.
Essential
1. A BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or a HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying (including a commercial placement) or a minimum of three years experience of managing cost elements of reactive maintenance and minor works projects
2. Demonstrate previous experience working on an MTC contracts in particular working with the NSR Schedules
3. Demonstrate previous experience in a QS role including account billing and calculating work in progress
4. Experience of managing profit and loss accounting and working to budgetary targets
5. Experience of working with a computer based cost management system
6. Full UK Drivers license
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience of both minor works construction projects and maintenance contracts
2. Membership to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
