The Opportunity

We're looking for a quantity surveyor to come and join a global Telecoms company, that are building telecoms fibre networks in Cornwall.

This is a new build FTTP network deployment programme and you would come into the region at an early stage of the build and play a part in building the solution as they look to pass around 400,000 homes in the next 3-4 years.

The company have a strong reputation and are a global household name when it comes to Telecoms technology. They are offering a full turnkey solution into the UK market, and with this being a slightly different venture for them, this is a great time for you to come in and have your influence on things from the outset.

Responsibilities:

Assigned to some recent contract wins, supporting the build and delivery work the company are looking to recruit additional QS resource to ensure effective cost management of the contract partners and ensure smooth flow of payment applications.

We're looking for someone with excellent commercial acumen and a proven track record around either utility / telecoms / infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the general PM, you'll be focusing on the end to end service delivery, across build and installation and it's cost estimation, contract administration, financial reporting and risk management within a bespoke NEC based contract environment using CEMAR.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable post graduate quantity surveying experience in a similar position with a main contractor or client within telecoms, utilities or civils.

The company are stable, have had some good project wins in recent times and the commercial team is still growing and evolving, so you'll learn from experienced commercial leaders.

The role is a day rate contract basis and is outside IR35.
