Are you an experienced UK Compliance Manager with expertise in contractor/contigent hiring, looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology platform that helps freelancers and contractors across the UK, EU, and USA get paid accurately and on time.

The Role: As the Compliance Manager, you will oversee the contractor compliance function, managing a community of over 1,000 contractors across various UK customers. You will ensure that processes are audited effectively and will be actively involved in key compliance areas, such as IR35 assessments, Agency Workers Regulations (AWR), and employment regulations like minimum wage compliance.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in contractor management, particularly within MSPs, recruitment agencies, or RPO environments, where managing compliance for 200+ contractors is common. You'll report directly to the Head of Operations and play a vital role in shaping the compliance strategy for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage compliance processes for a contractor base of over 1,000 individuals.
Conduct IR35 assessments, AWR assessments, and ensure alignment with UK employment regulations.
Perform regular audits of processes and procedures to ensure compliance across multiple UK customers.
Work closely with internal teams to maintain high compliance standards and address any contractor-related queries or issues.
Provide strategic input into the development and implementation of compliance frameworks.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Compliance Manager, ideally within an MSP, recruitment agency, or RPO setting. However experience of working within similar Tech platforms would also be great!
Strong knowledge of UK employment regulations, including IR35 and AWR.
Experience managing compliance for large contractor populations (200+).
Excellent auditing skills with a focus on detail and process improvement.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
