Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are looking to hire a Procurement Compliance Manager. This is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary ranged from £40,000 up to £50,000 per annum plus a range of flexible benefits. This role will be home based with the expectations to be on-site c1 day per month (when required) at offices in either London, Leeds or Manchester.
The successfully candidate will work in a small team of 4 and help ensure that any procurements/framework agreements/dynamic purchasing systems delivered adhere to the current and future procurement legislation, ensure high-quality standards are achieved and overall help implement/continually improve on best practice. The role will overall help achieve excellence in quality, assure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and deliver outstanding procurement solutions for the UK Public Sector marketplace. Sitting alongside Category Management teams, this role will act as a 'critical friend' and will sit side-by-side with those running the end-to-end procurement project to help provide compliance and quality assurance throughout. This role is purely focused on ensuring compliance and quality assurance throughout the end-to-end procurement process so if you are passionate about compliance and enjoy personally learning and developing others knowledge on Public Sector Procurement then this is the role for you! Please note this role will also cover a wide range of categories on a national scale/level so this role does not require someone to be a specialist in a specific category area.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- strong background working in a Procurement and/or Category Management role in the UK Public Sector marketplace
- strong understand of Public Sector Procurement Regulations along with an awareness of upcoming changes to the Procurement Act (ideally you will have completed the online eLearning)
- experience undertaking quality assurance/compliance reviews on procurement documentation to identity improvements to processes/documentation etc.
- strong communication skills - this role will require you to help guide key stakeholders and act as a 'critical friend'
- ideally CIPS Level 4 qualified
