Grid Engineer Opportunity - Drive the Future of Renewable Energy!

Are you passionate about shaping a sustainable energy future? Join my client as a Grid Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in accelerating the shift to renewable energy by managing and optimising grid capacity for innovative wind and solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify grid connection opportunities within the UK's distribution and transmission networks.
  • Process and secure grid connection applications with network operators.
  • Conduct comprehensive grid studies and manage accepted grid offers.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to drive renewable energy projects forward.

Your Role:

  • Develop optimal grid connection solutions and ensure technical and commercial accuracy.
  • Oversee Independent Connection Providers and consultants for grid-related tasks.
  • Work closely with project teams to align grid milestones with overall project plans.
  • Build strong relationships with network operators and actively contribute to grid policy discussions.

What They are Looking For:

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of grid planning, regulations, and system design (G99 experience a plus).
  • Experience with grid applications, TNUoS/DNUoS charges, and grid-related contracts.
  • Strong technical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
