FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - SURREY

Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer with 5 year's of experience in Electronic Engineering & Electronic components?

Do you have experience in installation, service, repairs, calibration, and maintenance of equipment?

This is a permanent opportunity, working on the road, for an Electrical & Electronics Manufacturing production company whose Headquarters are in Redditch.

A salary of £35,000-£45,000 is on offer, where training is fully funded, and a fitted van, laptop & phone will be provided.

Please note that a Full UK Driving license will be required for the role, as well as the full rights to work in the UK, as sponsorship will not be provided.

What does the role entail?

  • Provide installation, service, repair, calibration and maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
  • Commission equipment at customer sites and its final release to the production.
  • Qualify usefulness of equipment and process before purchase by customer.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to all stakeholders
  • Identify equipment and process related issues and barriers to enable successful installation, training, and commissioning at customer sites.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, trade shows and training courses as and when appropriate.

What skills will you have?

If you're a Field Engineer with an Electro Mechanical skill set, this will be highly desirable for the role.

Additionally, if you are used to being on the road, this will be well-suited to you as this is NOT an office-based role.

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic engineering and electronic components.
  • Experience in installation, service, repairs, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
  • An understanding of the electrical and mechanical drawings and engineering.
  • Excellent PC skills, knowledge of PC networking / SQL databases
  • Good practical and mechanical skills, technical applications or equipment, product, process engineering background and material knowledge
