Manpower Engineering is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a world-renowned company specialising in optical and precision engineering systems. This is your chance to work on ground-breaking microscopy and optical equipment, directly contributing to customer success across various sectors!

?? Location: Field/Home Office-Based with extensive travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland. We're looking for candidates located along the M4 corridor, covering London, Slough, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Reading, Newbury, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Newport, Cardiff, Port Talbot, and Swansea.

?? Why This Role? As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining high-performance equipment, from installations and repairs to providing exceptional customer support. Acting as the go-to technical expert, you'll perform site surveys, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure smooth operation of advanced systems - delivering excellent service at every step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment, perform installations, and execute preventive maintenance.
  • Keep accurate service documentation and manage spare parts.
  • Provide technical support and alternative solutions to customers.
  • Participate in site surveys, meetings, and occasional international training (Germany or USA).
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in electronics or mechanical service roles.
  • Qualifications: HNC/HND or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Skills: Customer-focused, strong communicator, and problem-solver.
  • Requirements: Valid UK driver's license and flexibility to travel extensively.
