We are looking for a Registered Service Manager who is eager to join a brand new care service provider to excel in providing support to vulnerable adults.

The service manager will efficiently manage the day to day running of the business. Allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver high quality home care to customers within budget. Manage all aspects of the staff team and provide sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely.

You will:

  • Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures
  • Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the center of their care and support
  • Make sure that prior to each service commencing, a customer assessment and risk assessment with the customer, and/or their chosen representatives, has been completed including what the customer needs and would like to achieve from their care and support
  • Manage the effective recruitment, induction and training of the coordinator (s), supervisor (s), care workers and other support staff. Identify ongoing training needs and ensure staff are up to date with current best practice
  • Ensure there are sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff allocated appropriately to meet service needs at all times. Implement company policy and procedures in relation to managing absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance matters

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

  • This post will suit a Care Manager with at least 2 years of extensive experience and knowledge with a recognised professional qualification like SVQ 4 or above in health and social care, health, teaching or education, and evidence of a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a registered manager with an excellent track record with Care Inspectorate reports
  • SSSC Registration is essential with working knowledge of the SSSC Codes of Practice. Demonstrated experience in holistic assessment of need, support and risk, and multi-agency casework planning
  • Experience in working with clients and families with an understanding of risk factors and safeguarding concerns to vulnerable adults
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods
  • Driving license
