Salary: £40,280 -A company vehicle provided
As a Service Manager, you will lead a team of five mobile service engineers and internal technicians, cultivating a collaborative and high-performing work environment. While the position is primarily office-based, you'll have the chance to travel occasionally, allowing you to engage with a diverse client base.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and support.
- Drive Growth: Ensure maintenance and service contracts are adhered to and contribute to expanding our service contract business.
- Financial Acumen: Take charge of financial management and budget control within the workshop, identifying opportunities for new business growth.
- Optimize Efficiency: Continuously seek ways to improve the productivity of engineers and overall service delivery.
- Customer Commitment: Deliver on the Service Level Agreements, ensuring high-quality support and resolution of technical issues in collaboration with the Technical department.
- Develop Talent: Work closely with our training manager to supervise and develop apprentice staff, fostering continuous learning across the team.
- Technical Expertise: Provide end users with initial technical advice on warranty, service schedules, and maintenance best practices.
The skills needed:
- Technical knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and electrics.
- Strong commercial awareness to drive the service business forward.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven organisational and administrative capabilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving prowess with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
