Retail Service Manager
Salary: £30,000 to 34,000
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Services Manager to oversee and manage our retail services at Cancel Specialist Hospital. This role requires a proactive individual dedicated to maintaining high standards in service, training, and overall departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all retail services within the hospital.
- Assist and support the Contract Manager with training, Food Safety, and Health & Safety protocols for the entire department.
- Support the recruitment and retention of staff in accordance with Trust policies.
- Ensure all retail areas are clean, fully stocked, and have correct labelling and menus.
- Ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
- Be available to assist during busy times.
- Reduce retail food wastage.
- Order provisions for retail services.
- Audit retail meal services for breakfast, lunch, and supper.
- Gather and respond to feedback from customers regarding catering services.
- Administer and oversee daily operations of retail services.
- In the absence of the Retail Supervisor, check daily cleaning schedules throughout the retail department.
- Hold daily team meetings with the Supervisor, and weekly meetings with the retail services staff, documenting discussion points such as Health & Safety, retail promotions, Elior News, sales, and costs.
- Collate wastage sheets and totals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff
