The Store Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of Store Assistants who are committed to delivering exceptional operational standards, expert sales knowledge, and outstanding customer service. The manager ensures that the store operates efficiently and in full compliance with company policies and procedures. With a strong commercial mindset, the manager also looks for new business opportunities that align with the district's overall business strategy.

Inspiring Customer Satisfaction

  • Lead, coach, and develop the team to deliver exceptional customer service and strong sales performance.
  • Promote multi-channel sales strategies to enhance customer engagement.
  • Continuously assess customer feedback and take action to improve service and experience.
  • Foster customer relationships that reflect the company's core values and commitment to quality service.

Driving and Growing Sales

  • Motivate and guide the team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Manage and execute marketing campaigns promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze commercial trends and recommend improvements to the product range to drive sales growth.
  • Share best practices across the district to optimize sales strategies.
  • Stay informed on competitor activity and local market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify and capitalize on in-store and external opportunities to increase sales and customer acquisition.

Personal and Team Development

  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the hair and beauty industry.
  • Proactively increase product knowledge and expertise in the company's brands.
  • Understand and engage with the broader business strategy to support store and district objectives.
  • Recognize and nurture the development potential of team members, applying insights to improve performance.
  • Encourage teamwork and create a positive learning environment through training and mentorship.

Team Growth and Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing store team.
  • Identify team members with growth potential and provide them with development opportunities.
  • Lead by example, consistently demonstrating the company's values and ensuring they are embedded in daily operations.
  • Plan staffing levels to ensure the store is adequately staffed based on customer demand and operational needs.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure a seamless customer experience by optimizing store operations.
  • Manage stock control, minimizing damages, defects, and stock loss.
  • Build strong cross-store relationships to share knowledge and enhance operational performance.
  • Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Secure company assets, including cash, products, and data, through rigorous controls.
  • Implement and monitor the achievement of commercial goals for the store, aligning with broader business objectives.

Measures of Success

  • Employee performance metrics: turnover, absence, employee relations cases, induction completion, and performance reviews.
  • Feedback from team members regarding leadership and support.
  • Audit results reflecting operational compliance and excellence.
  • Achievement of sales targets and KPIs (e.g., gross profit, UPT, ATV, SPH, customer acquisition).
