Senior Residential Care Worker

Location: North Nottinghamshire, NG13
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £29,369-£31,824
Additional: All applicants must be willing to do an average of 8 sleep ins per month £62.40 paid per night worked)

Purpose of the role:

The role of a Senior Childrens Residential Care Worker is to take responsibility of the day-to-day care of children residing within the organisations residential homes as well as have oversight of each shift worked. This includes the management of care staff on shift and planning of young peoples activities. The overall purpose of the role is to support childrens challenging behaviours and help them come to terms with previous life experiences whilst working towards their eventual independence. This involves adhering to safeguarding procedures, working as part of a team to towards shared objectives and demonstrating working practice in line with the companys ethos and values.

You will be working in a 3 bed EBD home that supports two teenage girls and 1 pre-teen boy.

Experience and qualifications:
  • Level 3 diploma in Childrens Residential Care
  • Candidates must be aged 21 or over
  • Experience working in a Childrens home
  • We are willing to consider entry-level applicants for this role
  • 1 years experience working with children in care is desirable.
  • A working knowledge of safeguarding children.
