An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social worker to join the disability team in East Lothian.

We are looking for someone with a deep commitment to achieving the best outcomes for vulnerable children and ready to make a positive impact.

This contract position is for a minimum of three months, offers a competitive hourly rate, and includes the option for hybrid working.

Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting assessments and reviews to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Providing support and guidance to children, families, and carers
  • Collaborating with multi agency teams to deliver effective interventions
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements:

  • Member of the PVG scheme
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Member of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Experience working with children and families
