Randstad are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's Child Protection team. This is a full time role offering an amazing rate of £35 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage a team of social workers, social work assistants and multi agency colleagues in all aspects of provision for children with disabilities, including safeguarding, looked after and children in need
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs, including risk assessments and analysis of parenting capacity.
  • Develop and implement effective intervention plans to address identified concerns and improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Provide direct support to children and families, offering guidance, advice, and access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and legal representatives, to ensure coordinated and holistic support for families.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and attend court hearings, presenting evidence and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all work and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures pertaining to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective intervention plans.
  • High level of emotional resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Enhanced DBS
