Randstad are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's Child Protection team. This is a full time role offering an amazing rate of £35 per hour.

Responsibilities:

To lead and manage a team of social workers, social work assistants and multi agency colleagues in all aspects of provision for children with disabilities, including safeguarding, looked after and children in need
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs, including risk assessments and analysis of parenting capacity.
Develop and implement effective intervention plans to address identified concerns and improve outcomes for children and families.
Provide direct support to children and families, offering guidance, advice, and access to appropriate services and resources.
Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and legal representatives, to ensure coordinated and holistic support for families.
Prepare high-quality reports and attend court hearings, presenting evidence and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all work and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures pertaining to child protection and safeguarding.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective intervention plans.
High level of emotional resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Requirements:

Social Work Degree or equivalent
Social Work England Registration
Enhanced DBS
