Children's Social Worker

Responsibilities

  • Work with children and families to ensure children's safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with families to support positive changes.
  • Progress cases to court if safety measures are not successful, with some children entering local authority care.
  • Develop looked-after care plans for children in local authority care, potentially leading to adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support to children until they are settled with adoptive families.
  • Address risks outside the home.
  • Support parents with unmet needs for their unborn children.



Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experience in a similar setting working with children and families
