Responsibilities:

  • There are three Children in our Care Teams, each has an appointed Team Manager and there is a Service Manager who oversees all 3 teams.
  • If following the completion of care proceedings, there is a plan for child or young person to remain living outside of the family they will be allocated a social worker from one of these teams.
  • The Children in Our Care teams also have the support of Resources Workers who help social workers to complete Life Story work for our children and young people to understand their journey's and also support facilitating and supervising family time.
  • Children In Our Care Social Workers will work with our children and young people towards making sure their care plans are progressed.
  • They will promote and support time with family members when safe to do so and help our children and young people understand their experiences and why they became cared for.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent
  • Social Work England registered
  • Enhanced DBS
